Description of project:

The Consultant will carry out the following activities:
1. Training of members of Evaluation Commission to understand the purpose of grant and how to select grant applications from the beneficiaries in one pilot district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan;
2. Developing criteria for selection of applications received from the beneficiaries for grant;
3. Conduct a mid-term survey at the level of low-income households, representatives of the mahalla in or willing to engage in the production of
agricultural products, i.e. fruits and vegetables production and / or growing fodder crops, the creation of small greenhouses. And also prepare proposals on a whole scale of regions, taking into account the soil and climatic conditions of the cultivation of agricultural crops.
4. Collection of basic information on project performance indicators defined in the project evaluation document developed by the consultant.

Expected results:

1. Conduct a mid-term survey that will gather statistical data from the related agencies, from the households, representative of makhallas in or willing to engage in the production of fruits and vegetables and / or the building of greenhouse farms;
2. Develop criteria and train the composition of the Evaluation Commission in the project districts regarding the mechanism for selecting received
applications for receiving a GCF sub-grant in accordance with the WB requirements and relevant directions;
3. Provide the project with selection criteria and a database in accordance with the requirements of the Client;
4. Provide an analytical report which is acceptable to the Client (together with survey questionnaire and sampling and survey database (raw data set)).
