Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the United States of America on 18-20 September 2017.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part at speech at the general debate of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly and delivery a speech. This will be the first visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UN General Assembly in capacity of the President of Uzbekistan.

The President of Uzbekistan will meet and hold negotiations within his visit to the United States.

In particular, he will meet with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde, President of the World Bank Group Jim Yong Kim.

He will also hold talks with leaders of other countries who arrived at the UN General Assembly, during his stay in New York.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also take part in Uzbekistan–US business forum. It is expected that business circles of Uzbekistan and the USA will sign a significant package of bilateral documents in trade, economic, financial and investment spheres in the result of the business forum.
