Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A draft law “In introduction of changes and amendments to the law “On advertisement” was published at the Single interactive state services portal for discussion.
The draft law offers to introduce changes to some articles of the law “On advertisement”.
In particular, the draft law says that advertisement in Uzbekistan is disseminated in the state language and (or) on other languages on wish of the advertiser.
The regulation does not apply to media outlets, which is disseminated in foreign languages. The draft law also offers to ban erotic scenes in commercial ads. It also proposes to forbidden to advertisement of gambling and risk-based games.
The draft law also offers to ban advertisement in publishing products – books, manuals, notebooks – used in general and secondary special educational establishments.
The advertisements will not include toy or real weapons. The children cannot be shown in extreme situations. The ads should not include calls to under ages to purchase any products or calls to third persons to purchase advertised products.
The draft law said that the adverts should not mislead people on the cost of the goods with use of such words as “only”.
The document said that it will be prohibited to send advertisement with use of telecommunication networks, except social information of the state bodies.
The document will also regulate issues related to advertising energy drinks and child nutrition.
