Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev signed a resolution “On programme of construction of affordable habitation on updated standard projects in rural areas for 2017-2021”. The document approved the programme of construction of affordable habitation on updated standard projects in rural areas for next five years. The programme envisages construction of houses based on updated standard projects in rural areas. The programme stipulates construction of houses based on three types of affordable and comfortable individual houses. The first type of habitation envisages construction of two and three-story multiapartment houses, which will consist of three or four doorways. Two-room apartments in such houses will have 42.4 square meters of area and estimated price of 72.5 million soums and taking account additional constructions – 85 million soums. Three-room apartments in such houses will have 52.4 square meters of area and estimated price of 88.5 million soums and taking account additional constructions – 100.7 million soums. It is also planned to construct playgrounds, sheds for resting, etc. In line with the second type, it is planned to construct one floor two and three room houses. The two room apartments will have 53 square meters of area. The estimates cost of such flat will be 93.8 million soums and taking account additional constructions – 101.5 million soums. Areas of three-room apartments will be 63.5 square meters and estimated cost – 111 million soums and taking account additional constructions – 118.7 million soums. Third type envisages construction of two-floor four-room houses. The estimated cost of such flats will be 162 million soums and taking account additional constructions – 181.8 million soums. The apartments can be taken on mortgage. The population can receive mortgage for 15 years with three year of grace period under interest rate of 7% in the first five year. After that the interest will not exceed refinancing rate of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, which currently makes up 9%. It is expected that 2.121 trillion soums will be directed to finance the programme in 2017. The state budget will allocate 350 billion soums, while commercial banks will direct over 2 trillion soums. It is planned that over 15,000 houses and flats will be built in 2017, including 4,608 houses of the first type, 3,739 houses of the second type and 3,672 houses of the third time, as well as 2,981 one floor houses of 3, 4 and 5 flat houses. Within the programme, it is also planned to construct water, electricity and gas supply networks, roads, social objects, etc.
