Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 June, 2019, the Ministry of Preschool Education organized a children’s holiday at the sanatorium, where women and children returned from Syria are undergoing rehabilitation. Gifts, treats, creative workshops and a colorful show with the participation of animators were prepared for more than 100 children of different ages.
“Children who have returned from an armed conflict zone will have a difficult period of social adaptation. Today’s holiday is a way to add positive emotions and take the first step to smooth out the traumatic experience gained in the first years of life. Only 3 days have passed since the children returned to a peaceful life, and we are already seeing the results: they are becoming more open and curious. However, much work remains to be done to integrate returned children into society. In order for them to learn to trust the world, time, patience and love are needed,” the deputy head of the main department for organizing activities of preschool institutions and the strategic development of Ministry of Preschool Education Shahnoza Mirziyoyev said.
Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva talked with the returned women, listened to their experiences and answered the questions asked. She assured that the state will provide protection to every child, regardless of where he was born or where he came from, as well as provide psychological and social assistance to the mothers themselves.
