Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 June 2018, management of Ipoteka Bank held a meeting with representatives of Polish business circles in Tashkent.

The sides considered expanding cooperation and exchange of relevant information in the field of innovative technologies for breeding, growing and processing fish.

Poland has rich experience in selection of commercial fish, their technological processing, fodder production, the creation of fish-breeding equipment.

Ipoteka Bank officials briefed the guests about large-scale reforms in banking sector of Uzbekistan and measures, taken to liberalize the liberalize the economy and the foreign exchange market, improve the business environment, support the interests of small businesses and private entrepreneurship.

For their part, representatives of Poland’s business circles underscored the positive dynamics of Uzbekistan’s economic growth, welcomed the efforts of the Government of the Republic to create the necessary conditions for foreign investors.

It was also noted that Uzbekistan and Poland have accumulated a significant fruitful experience of cooperation in various fields. The holding of this meeting with the Uzbek bank was a new step for the development of one more area of cooperation - assistance in establishing links between fish farmers in Uzbekistan and Poland, studying advanced practices in this area, introducing high-tech industries and implementing new investment projects, information on aquaculture issues.

Representatives of business circles in Poland expressed their openness and readiness to expand cooperation in this area.

The parties considered the possibilities of cooperation in such key areas as attracting investments for the implementation of projects for the production of feed and processing of fish products.

Also, issues of sharing experience in the use of equipment at fish processing enterprises, fish monitoring and monitoring systems and water parameters, exchange of information on the state and development of fish culture and fish market in two countries were discussed.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts, as well as a mechanism for monitoring the implementation of the agreements reached at the meeting. As one of the most important aspects of cooperation, the parties have identified measures aimed at expanding direct contacts between fish farmers in the two countries.

In particular, it was decided to consider options for cooperation between manufacturers of fish equipment, fish planting material, manufacturers of specialized feeds.

It is also planned to continue the practice of holding meetings and seminars for fish farmers in various regions of Uzbekistan.

By mutual consent of the parties, a dialogue on the exchange of experience in fish farming and the possibilities of attracting investments for the implementation of innovative projects in the field of fish farming will be continued in the very near future, during the forthcoming visit of the delegation of Uzbek farmers to Poland.
